Dr Thansneem Saleem completed her basic physician training at the Hunter New England Health Network, NSW. She subsequently undertook specialist training in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at John Hunter, Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals in New South Wales and was awarded FRACP in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.
Dr Thasneem Saleem is a member of Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Sleep Association, American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society. She regularly attends local as well as international meetings/ conferences to keep herself up to date in the field of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She has undertaken research projects in the areas of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Obstructive sleep apnoea, and has presented her research in multiple national conferences. She has ongoing active research interests in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She is also quite involved with medical education and holds the position of a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.
